The trusted Spanish company Gamo has released its new flagship PCP air rifle, the Gamo Riser Punisher, which will definitely be appreciated by even the pickiest of users.
This model is based on the popular Arrow platform, from which it retains the unique linear charging mechanism. Reloading is therefore not done using the regular side charging mechanism, but instead by pulling the arrow-shaped linear charging lever backwards.
The whole barrel is covered by a polymer shroud and finished with an effective Whisper Fusion sound moderator. The barrel features height and side adjustable sights with optical fibers, and an 11mm rail for the eventual installation of a rifle scope.
The maximum filling pressure of the cartridge with volume 140 cc, finished by a pressure gauge, is 232 Bar and it is filled by a classic Quickfill valve located at the underside of the forearm. It is necessary to purchase a quick coupler to fill.
The action of the CAT trigger (Custom Action Trigger) is adjustable in two ways and there is a simple manual safety in front of the trigger.
The overall shooting comfort is guaranteed by the neatly shaped wooden stock with attractive rifling in the forearm and grip area and a fixed cheekpiece oriented for right-handed shooters. However, the cheekpiece does not protrude to the other side so even left-handed shooters will have no problem using it. And of course, there is also a comfortable rubber buttstock.
