Your backpack should contain all of the essential equipment in accordance with the area you are going to be visiting. Staying hydrated is of utmost importance so taking a few water purifiers is definitely a good idea. Don’t forget to pack some food as well. It will keep you sated and give you the much needed energy. You are not even going to need to start a fire to heat up a MRE ration. A compass is a traditional and reliable way of getting your bearings and it can give you at least a rough idea of where you need to go. Build a shelter and start a fire when the night falls. You can try to do it with a simple firestarter if your matchsticks got wet. So don’t sit at home and head out into nature.
