Every shooter knows that you need a number of practical accessories to go along with your weapon and ammunition. CO2 and PCP air rifles need CO2 cartridges and PCP filling equipment. You are going to have to shoot at something so try checking out some targets. Let’s not forget spare magazines because you can never have enough of those. You can improve your long range accuracy with an appropriate scope and some PCP air rifles might require a pressure regulator for more consistent performance. Some things can go wrong from time to time so it might be a good idea to stock up on some spare parts.
Safety should always be the number one concern. Protect your eyes with shooting glasses and don’t underestimate even a simple airgun because a ricocheting pellet or a BB can cause some serious injury to your eyes. Earmuffs are equally as important because you have to protect your hearing from loud noises.
Corrosion and fouling from powder residues are the biggest enemy of your weapon. A proper cleaning will ensure good function and reliability for a long time. You are going to need a quality oil and a cleaning kit in the corresponding caliber. You can use a boresnake if you want to quickly clean the barrel on the range.
You cannot just walk around in public with your weapon exposed. You have to keep it in a closed bag or a case. A belt holster is a great choice if you want to carry your handgun concealed.
A steady aim is crucial if you want to reliably hit what you are aiming for. A bipod or a shooting bag will give your rifle the much needed stability. Hunters and photographers are often using shooting sticks when they are out in the field.
