Caiman X is a brand-new PCP air rifle with an extended barrel from the Czech manufacturer AirMaks. Its main advantages include accuracy, compact dimensions and uncompromising build quality.
At first glance, you will notice its unusually shaped beech stock in black finish, which gives it a distinctive look. Shouldering is very comfortable and the ergonomically shaped pistol grip fits your hand perfectly. Shooting comfort is further enhanced by the height-adjustable rubber buttpad.
The Czech-made barrel is 520 mm long and thanks to the Bullpup design the overall length of the rifle is only 695 mm. The integrated sound moderator, which makes shooting really quiet, should also not be overlooked.
The cocking lever is unusually placed on the left side, but if needed you can easily swap it to the right side. The change only takes a few moments. The magazine holds a total of 10 pellets in 5.5 mm calibre and you get two magazines in the package. The rather unconventional safety is located at the end of the stock and can be disengaged simply by pushing it from the right side of the rifle’s body.
The air cylinder has a capacity of 285 cc and a maximum filling pressure of 300 bar. A pressure gauge on the left side of the fore-end is used to monitor the current pressure in the cylinder. On the other side you will find the filling port. The Caiman is supplied with a Quick-Fill adapter, filling hose and bleed tool.
This model is not equipped with open sights, but instead it features a standard Weaver rail for mounting a riflescope. The UIT rail on the fore-end allows you to attach a bipod.
As a bonus, the AirMaks Caiman X is delivered in a padded textile case.
