Hawke AIRMAX 30 TOUCH 3-12x32 AMX has a monolithic aluminium construction filled with nitrogen. The tube has a diameter of 1.2", i.e. 30 mm.
The eyepiece has Fast Focus, and the lenses are equipped with a sixteen-layer MC coating. The gas inside the system ensures that the objective and eyepiece lenses do not fog up. The riflescope is also waterproof and shockproof. Inside the AIRMAX models there is an etched AMX IR reticle. It is illuminated in red, with six adjustable brightness levels and off positions between them.
Horizontal and vertical adjustment is in milliradian values – one click equals 1/10 MRAD. The turrets for adjustments are capped, so the chosen setting cannot be changed without the user noticing. Parallax adjustment is located on the left side of the riflescope, implemented via a side turret; its range is from 8 yds to infinity. To maintain the set values, the system needs to be relatively stiff. For this reason, the manufacturer includes a large sidewheel that you fit onto the parallax turret to make handling easier. The illumination control is located in the same place.
The variable magnification range of 3–12x is particularly suitable for less powerful rifles – for example rimfire rifles or airguns. The manufacturer’s motto for the Airmax models is Specialist scopes designed by airgunners for airgunners! The riflescope is in the second focal plane.
