Like all other models in the T4E series of the 2nd generation, this one has also received a new quick-activation valve, which does not require any tools to tighten or loosen. The second innovation is the textured grip surface ensuring a more secure hold.
All types of RAM balls in .50 caliber can be used as ammunition, such as rubber, pepper or marking projectiles. The magazine is located under the barrel, where it is necessary to swing open the front part of the trigger guard. The magazine has a capacity of 4 shots.
The pistol is powered by a single 8 g CO2 cartridge, which is inserted into the grip. You can carry a pistol prepared in this way indefinitely without the risk of degrading the sealing rings. To activate it, you need to hit the protruding valve with the palm of your hand, which pierces the cartridge and the pistol is ready to fire.
The TP 50 Compact is available in two power versions – 11 J, where one cartridge is enough for 8 full-power shots, and 7.5 J, where it lasts for 12 shots.
Given that the pistol is intended for short-distance self-defence and also due to its small dimensions, it does not include any mounting systems for attaching an optical sight or other accessories.
Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seals may, due to the freezing carbon dioxide, gradually become brittle and crack. You can prevent this by occasionally applying silicone oil 1) in spray form, simply spraying the internal mechanism, or 2) applying a few drops of silicone oil onto the neck of the inserted cartridge. At the same time, we do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the gun longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
