The main star of our booth was the brand new Taipan Slash Semi-Auto. This semi-auto PCP rifle with a detachable magazine delivers up to 220 Joules in 7.62mm and you can look forward to seeing it in our e-shop in the coming months. And it's the version with the M-LOK handguard and red laminated stock that has generated the most buzz at IWA.
The Epic Airguns booth introduced a new lightweight version of the Model TWO that is 800 grams lighter than its counterpart. The LITE model will also be lighter in price, but in addition to that, it offers an adapter for AR-15-style stocks and a lower Picatinny rail. Even the popular Model ONE received a new facelift in the form of a walnut buttstock from Czech manufacturer Klinsky. Last but not least, the boss of Epic Airguns, David Hanusek, revealed some upcoming plans and changes for 2025.
Marek then visited the booth of the South Korean manufacturer Evanix, where his attention was captured by the semi-automatic PCP submachine gun named the MP30. The weapon caught our attention not only with its realistic design, but also with the clever layout of the air cartridges. Although it's still a prototype, the manufacturer claims that it may appear on the market during the summer.
As usual, Umarex did not disappoint this year either. The spotlight was definitely on the TC 68 rifle, which can shoot rubber and paintball projectiles with a force of up to 40 J, even in fully automatic mode (!). It's safe to say that we can't wait to get our hands on this beast and review it for you. We were also pleased with the handy rubber projectile catcher, which will definitely make cleaning up mischievous BBs easier.
But Umarex also thinks about beginners and budget shooters, and the new Canex CO2 air rifle is designed precisely for them. The weapon is very lightweight and its appearance resembles a real rifle.
Swedish manufacturer FX Airguns has prepared two new products for this year. The first is the FX Leopard bullpup, whose cartridge wraps around the barrel as we are used to from the popular DRS model. And the second one is FX's first ever PCP pistol. The pistol is currently in the prototype stage, but the manufacturer promises its release during September.
