PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A sleek laminate variant of the Caiman airgun from the well known Czech manufacturer AirMaks Arms.

The X version has an extended 520mm barrel, making it much more accurate than the standard version. At the end of it there is a sound moderator composed of 3 segments. To install an additional sound moderator, the last segment is fitted with a standard 1/2UNFx20 thread.

The cartridge has also gotten bigger - now it has a capacity of 285cc. When you pair this with a working pressure of 300 bar, you get a decent number of shots per fill. The remaining pressure is indicated by a pressure gauge integrated in the left side of the forearm.

Consistent muzzle velocity is maintained by a pressure regulator, which only lets in a predetermined amount of air, eliminating the drop in performance as the cartridge pressure decreases.

Despite the extended barrel, the Caiman still maintains a compact size with a length of 695mm thanks to the bullpup design.

The charging lever is located on the left side but can be moved to the other side if necessary. As usual with AirMaks airguns, the charging mechanism has a surprisingly smooth and fluid movement.

The manual safety is not designed as in most airguns in the form of a rotary switch, but as a brass pin, which must be pushed from the right side to disengage. Please note that the manufacturer strongly discourages charging the airgun with the safety engaged - it could cause irreparable damage to the internal mechanism.

For mounting the riflescope, there is a 22mm rail canted by 20 MOA for easier riflescope adjustment for long range shooting. At the end of the stock is a comfortable height adjustable rubber buttstock. There is a UIT rail at the bottom of the forearm for the eventual installation of a bipod.
