Snowpeak T-Rex is a fully powered PCP air rifle fitted with a polymer stock with a mostly smooth surface complemented by textured areas and cut-outs at the gripping points to ensure maximum stability when shooting. The stock itself is equipped with a vertically adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber butt pad with damping properties. On the fore-end there is a bottom Picatinny mounting rail allowing you to attach a bipod or other shooting accessories.
The internal system of the air rifle is powered by compressed air stored in a classic air cylinder with a working pressure of 250 Bar and a volume of 230 cm3. The cylinder is filled via a quickfill adapter, which needs to be additionally equipped with a quick coupler to connect it to the hose. The current pressure level can be monitored on the analogue pressure gauge located at the front of the cylinder. A built-in pressure regulator ensures stable dosing during shooting.
Shooting is carried out using a sliding four-stroke bolt, whose lever can be mounted on either the right or left side. First the bolt is unlocked, then pulled back, and by pushing it forward again and locking it, the pellet is moved from the 9-shot magazine directly into the barrel. The presence of a pellet in the chamber is indicated by a tactile indicator located on the rear of the block and additionally highlighted in red. To increase safety, the system can be secured between individual shots with a manual safety.
Accurate aiming is provided by iron sights – a fixed front sight and a rear sight adjustable vertically and horizontally. For mounting optics, Snowpeak has also prepared a top Weaver/Picatinny mounting rail.
The precise rifled barrel with shroud has a length of 480mm and is finished with a sound moderator to achieve maximum quietness when shooting.
The air rifle comes complete with spare O-rings, Allen keys, a quickfill adapter and one magazine.
WARNING! On this calibre, the pressure regulator is factory set to 150 bar. Shooting below this pressure level may cause damage to the regulator and subsequently also leaks in the gun. When 150 bar is reached, we therefore always recommend refilling the cylinder.
