PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Snowpeak T-Rex is a full‑power PCP air rifle fitted with a polymer stock with a mostly smooth surface, complemented by textured zones and cut-outs at the grip points to ensure maximum stability when shooting. The stock itself is equipped with a vertically adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber buttpad with shock‑absorbing properties. On the fore-end there is a bottom Picatinny mounting rail allowing the attachment of a bipod or other shooting accessories.

The internal system of the air rifle is powered by compressed air stored in a classic air cylinder with a working pressure of 250 Bar and a volume of 230 cm3. The cylinder is filled via a quickfill adapter, which must be additionally fitted with a quick coupler to connect it to the hose. The current pressure level can be monitored on the analogue pressure gauge located at the front of the cylinder. A built‑in pressure regulator ensures stable dosing during shooting.

Shooting is carried out using a sliding four‑stroke bolt, whose handle can be mounted on either the right or left side. The bolt is first unlocked, then pulled back; when pushed forward again and locked, the pellet is moved from the 10‑shot magazine directly into the barrel. The presence of a pellet in the chamber is indicated by a tactile indicator on the rear of the block, additionally highlighted in red. To increase safety, the system can be secured between shots with a manual safety.

Accurate aiming is provided by iron sights – a fixed front sight and a rear sight adjustable vertically and horizontally. For optional scope mounting, Snowpeak has also prepared a top Weaver/Picatinny mounting rail

The precise rifled barrel with shroud is 480mm long and is finished with a sound moderator to achieve maximum quiet shooting.

The air rifle is supplied with spare O‑rings, Allen keys, a quickfill adapter and one magazine.

WARNING! The pressure regulator for this calibre is factory‑set to 150 bar. Shooting below this pressure level may cause damage to the regulator and consequently also air leaks in the gun. When 150 bar is reached, we therefore recommend always refilling the cylinder.

The original trigger is not ideal, but it can be easily improved. Price performance unbelievable!

For me overall a great product. Accuracy at 50 and 80 metres absolutely no problem. The only issue so far was that the integrated silencer came loose and needed tightening, which means a bit of disassembly, but it’s manageable. Magazines are easy to load. The bolt movement sometimes snags a little and it’s harder to push it fully into the end position. Compared to the DRS it seems to me it uses a bit more air. Final verdict: for me a great choice if it’s your first PCP or a low-budget air rifle.

  • Cheap
  • Accurate
  • It has a slide, not a lever.
  • Simple magazine
  • Simple construction
  • It has a bottom rail for a bipod
  • The low price is reflected in the quality of the stock
  • The trigger also matches the price

Very good air rifle for the price. I had it in 6.35, so I knew what I was getting into. For my needs, the 5.5 is sufficient.

  • Accurate
  • Regulator
  • Can be used without a rifle scope
  • Really does take 50 shots to fill (after 50 shots about 160BAR left)
  • Price
  • Silencer is not much, but considering the price it can be forgiven
