Over the past few years, the German company Umarex has been putting a lot of effort into producing airguns that offer impressive functionality, a wide range of accessories, and all that at an unbeatable purchase price. A prime example is this PCP air rifle called the Notos Carbine Set, which includes everything you would find in much more expensive competitors. Thanks to the included riflescope and bipod, the only other things you need to get are ammunition and something to fill the gun with —a hand pump, high-pressure bottle, or a compressor.

A significant advantage is the integrated pressure regulator, which ensures consistent muzzle velocity and thus stable accuracy. Although the 66cc cartridge is not the largest, it can be pressurized up to 250 bar (3625 psi). Together with the regulator and the moderate muzzle energy, you get a relatively high number of shots per fill. The current pressure in the cartridge is indicated by a simple pressure gauge located at the front. The filling port is located next to it, which is used to insert the threadless filling pin 1/8 BSP (quick connector must be purchased separately).
The 300 mm long rifled barrel is designed for shooting with standard lead pellets. These are inserted either into the spring-loaded rotary magazine or you can use the supplied single-shot adapter. Reloading is done using a classic side cocking lever fixed on the left side of the receiver. The trigger is fully adjustable and the manual safety is located directly in the trigger blade.
The barrel features an integrated K-Baffle sound moderator with 3 baffles, which effectively reduces the noise of the shot. The riflescope or any other accessory can be mounted onto the top Picatinny rail. The receiver, as well as all important components, are made of metal. The stock and grip are made of durable polymer.
This model also includes a 3-9x40 variable magnification riflescope with a red and green illuminated reticle and adjustable parallax. It also comes with a detachable bipod with telescopic legs with a total of 3 positions (0°, 90°, 180°). The stock is also adjustable in length, resulting in a total airgun length of 800-865mm.
