Thanks to the heavier hammer, the valve remains open longer during the shot and lets more air through, which allows a higher muzzle energy to be achieved.
The set includes 2 spacer sleeves, which can be fixed to the loading probe using an O-ring. By changing the diameter of the probe, this set can be used without sleeves for calibre 5.5mm / .22, or for calibres 6.35mm / .25 and 7.62mm / .30 using the appropriate sleeve.
