PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Machine translated

Do you want an air rifle with a tactical design that you can really enjoy even outside the shooting range? Then don’t overlook the latest representative of air rifles from the renowned manufacturer Sig Sauer.

With this model, Sig Sauer decided to use a compressed air (HPA) power system instead of a CO2 cartridge, effectively doubling the muzzle energy to 16 J. Virtus is a semi-automatic that can fire one pellet after another as fast as you can pull the trigger. Remember that before the first shot it is necessary to rack the bolt, just like with a live firearm.

The pressure bottle serves not only as an air reservoir, but also as a stock. Shouldering the rifle is therefore not particularly comfortable. The bottle holds a total of 213 ccm of air and the maximum operating pressure is 206 bar (3000 PSI). It is important not to overfill it. One fill is enough for roughly four 30‑round magazines, i.e. a total of 120 shots per fill. Filling is done using a quick coupler, which you can find below in the recommended products.

Spare bottles can also be purchased separately. You simply remove the empty one, screw on a full one and within moments you are ready to shoot again.

Warning: Never shoot the air rifle down to 0 BAR. A hand pump is not able to overcome the initial overpressure; the first filling of an empty cartridge therefore has to be done from a pressure bottle!

The gun is robust and the workmanship is of a high standard. The metal flip-up sights are also very well made. Thanks to the 22 mm Weaver rail you can mount any riflescope or red dot sight.

Sig Sauer MCX Virtus is an excellent air rifle for plinking, destructive shooting and recreational shooting. It does lag a bit behind other PCP rifles in terms of accuracy, but it makes up for it with its rate of fire.
