PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Sig Sauer MCX became worldwide famous as a reliable firearm and later as a lead pellet airgun powered by pressurized carbon dioxide. And now there's a second generation with a number of changes and improvements.

This semi-automatic air rifle with a rifled barrel fires lead pellets inserted in a belt magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds. The internal mechanism is powered by a single 88g CO2 cartridge that is screwed into the rear of the gun after removing the stock. Alternatively, you can use an adapter for two 12g cartridges, or an HPA conversion kit.

The second generation features a new handguard with a total of 15 M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom. The stock has also undergone changes, the AR-15 grip has a reduced angle and the trigger is now equipped with a straight blade. Other components have remained untouched. For sighting, you can use the side-adjustable, flip-up sights, alternatively you can install a red dot sight or rifle scope onto the fairly long Picatinny rail. The AR-15 type safety is ambidextrous, while the magazine release button is located on the right side.

As for materials, only the handguard, stock, grip and magazine are made of high quality polymer. Everything else, such as the receiver, charging handle, silencer, and all other components are metal.

Note, only load round-tipped pellets into the magazine. Any other shape may cause jamming.

Maintenance

Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the sealing rings can become brittle and crack when exposed to the freezing carbon dioxide over time. This can be prevented by occasional application of silicone oil 1) by a spray bottle, where you simply coat the internal mechanism, 2) by applying a few drops of silicone oil to the nozzle of the inserted cartridge. It’s also not recommended to leave the activated cartridge in the gun for longer than necessary. If you know you won't be shooting for a while, release the pressure. The cartridges cannot be refilled.
