The Czech company Presslug has been specializing in the production of high-quality ammunition for airguns for more than 5 years. Until now, we have mainly offered professional tools for home reloading from them. Presslug has now expanded production to include ready-made Slugs – available in all common calibres and in several weight variants – to cover the requirements of various shooting disciplines and to suit air rifles from different power categories.
Airgun ammunition called PS Slugs differs from classic pellets at first glance by its overall shape, which provides a higher ballistic coefficient and loses velocity more slowly. The result is a flatter trajectory, greater range and impact energy. Due to their higher weight, Slugs are generally suitable for more powerful airguns.
WARNING: Slugs are suitable only for air rifles with barrels designed for this type of ammunition, so‑called “unchoked barrels”. A choked barrel tapers slightly at the muzzle, which is beneficial for classic pellets, but solid slugs can get stuck in it.

For my air rifles Epic Two and Snipe 2 the size is not suitable. Accuracy even
at 50 m is inconsistent, so I only use them for casual plinking in a stone
quarry for fun. From my experience, a size of 5.51–5.52 mm is more suitable
for my air rifles. So keep that in mind.
