This airgun, titled Umarex HK416 A5, is a faithful reproduction of the fifth generation firearm of the same name produced by Heckler & Koch.
The HK 416 A5 is powered by two 12g CO2 cartridges inserted into the magazine. However, the projectiles are not housed in there. The projectile chamber is located in the forearm and can hold 36 steel 4.5mm BBs.
There is also a high capacity reservoir above the chamber that can hold up to 600 rounds, which are transferred to the bottom chamber by moving the concealed loading handle on the left side and tilting the weapon backwards. Loading the 36 rounds into the chamber thus takes only a few seconds.
The airgun can fire projectiles from the steel barrel with a muzzle velocity of 3J, so it is mostly suitable for plinking and recreational shooting and the 6-round burst mode using the Blowback system makes the shooting even more fun.
There is a total of four 22mm Weaver/Picatinny rails available for mounting accessories, and the top rail is fitted with collapsible sights right from the factory. The safety, which also serves as a fire mode selector, is ambidextrous, the grip is rugged on the sides, and the stock is length-adjustable in 5 positions.
The inner construction of the gun is made of zinc-aluminum alloy and then covered by durable polymer housing reducing the overall weight to 1800g.
