New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers American manufacturer Crosman is celebrating its 100th birthday, and for this anniversary it has prepared a limited edition of one of its most popular pump air rifles, the Crosman Legacy 1000.
The Crosman Legacy 100 YEAR EDITION model immediately catches the eye with its polymer stock featuring gold-plated elements on the buttpad, grip and main block. Of course, this is not real gold.
Just like other PCA air rifles (Pre Charged Air), here too it is necessary to pressurise the air rifle using the integrated forearm pump. Depending on the number of strokes (the manufacturer recommends 3 to 12 strokes), the muzzle energy increases up to 10 joules.
With this model you can shoot both steel BBs and lead pellets. Steel BBs are poured into a reservoir with a capacity of 200 BBs through a cleverly hidden opening under the grip cap. Then just pull back and lock the pin on the left side of the block, tilt the barrel perpendicular to the ground, shake / rotate the air rifle along its axis, unlock the pin, pull back the charging handle on the right side and 18 BBs are ready to fire.
Lead pellets are loaded one by one before each shot. Simply pull back the charging handle on the right side, insert a pellet and return the handle to its original position. With pellets you may have a lower rate of fire, but in combination with the rifled steel barrel you will achieve surprising accuracy even at several tens of metres.
Comfortable shooting is aided by the low weight of the air rifle and textured sections in the grip areas, and a matter of course is the manual safety in the trigger guard area. The air rifle is equipped with a height and windage adjustable metal rear sight and a front sight fitted with fibre-optic light-guiding rod, and for possible scope installation there is a standard 11 mm rail.
The package also includes a stylish anniversary box with 250 Crosman Super Point lead pellets with pointed heads.
