At first glance it may resemble a real sniper rifle thanks to the unique placement of the air cylinder. It is not located under the barrel like on most air rifles, but surrounds the entire barrel.
A major innovation compared to the original single-shot version is the option to install a 5-shot magazine, which is compatible only with Altaros ATP King slugs (110 pcs included). An alternative is the supplied single-shot insert compatible with any ammunition in the given calibre.
The exceptionally accurate 600 mm barrel from Lothar Walther is equipped with a polygonal bore with a twist rate of 1:17.7 (the projectile makes one full rotation over a distance of 450 mm) and at the muzzle there is a standard 1/2 UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator.
On the underside of the fore-end there are two gauges – one for the pressure in the cylinder, the other for the externally adjustable regulator. The modernised Picatinny rail can be inclined by up to 30 MRAD / 100 MOA for easier scope adjustment at extreme distances.
This model is factory-set to 85 J (regulator set to 180 bar). Below you will find an indicative table of results for different regulator settings and ammunition used, with the cylinder filled to 300 bar.

Fun fact: The original version of the Altaros M24 air rifle, with modified power and using a tuned barrel, managed in 2019 to hit a target measuring 56x46 cm at a distance of 1280 metres and thus held the world record until 2023. That year it was surpassed by itself, when it hit a target of the same size at a distance of 1609 metres (1 mile).
