Czech company AirMaks Arms is becoming more and more known day by day on the airgun market thanks to its continuously expanding range of premium high‑performance air rifles with a distinctive design.
This time they present another addition to the family of compact bullpups called Krait L Tube 6.35mm. The designation “Tube” means that instead of the usual rounded kevlar bottle, the air rifle is equipped with an elongated 340cc cylindrical air cylinder with a working pressure of up to 300 bar.
All other parts of the air rifle remain unchanged, such as the fully shrouded barrel with a twist rate of 1/17, and at its end there is a standard 1/2x20 UNF thread for installing a sound moderator.
The Krait is equipped with two pressure gauges that show the pressure in the cylinder and in the externally adjustable pressure regulator. The icing on the cake is the Power Plenum with a capacity of 60cc.
Precise shooting is ensured by a fully adjustable two‑stage trigger, and right above it there is a manual safety, which can be easily moved to the other side, just like the side lever with an extremely smooth operation.
For mounting accessories there are a total of 4 Picatinny rails. The rail for mounting a riflescope is inclined by 20 MOA for easier scope adjustment for long‑range shooting.
Comfortable shooting is provided by a solid metal stock with a height‑adjustable cheekpiece and a height‑ and length‑adjustable rubber buttpad. Of course, there is also a standardised rubberised AR-15 type grip designed for right‑handed shooters, which can be easily replaced with another one.
