The Czech company AirMaks Arms is becoming more and more famous on the airgun market thanks to their ever-expanding range of premium high-powered airguns with their distinctive design.
This time, they present another addition to the compact bullpup family called the Krait L Tube 5,5mm. The "Tube" designation means that instead of the usual rounded kevlar cartridge, the airgun features an elongated 340cc cylindrical cartridge with a working pressure of up to 300 bar.
All other parts of the airgun remain unchanged, such as the barrel shrouded along its entire length with a 1/17 twist rate and a classic 1/2x20 UNF thread at the muzzle end for the installation of a sound moderator.
The Krait is equipped with two pressure gauges that display the pressure in the cartridge and in the externally adjustable pressure regulator. The 60cc Power Plenum is just a cherry on top.
A fully adjustable two-stage trigger ensures precise shooting, and there is a manual safety just above that can be easily swapped to the other side, just like the extremely smooth running charging lever.
A total of 4 Picatinny rails are available for mounting accessories. The rail for mounting the riflescope is angled by 20 MOA for easier adjustment of the riflescope for long range shooting.
Comfortable shooting is further enhanced by the solid metal stock with a height adjustable cheekpiece and height and length adjustable rubber buttstock. A standardised rubberised AR-15-type grip designed for right-handed shooters is also standard, and can easily be replaced with a different one.
