The AirMaks Arms company once again introduces an upgraded variant of one of the most popular Czech PCP air rifles, this time called Katran N. This version has been tailored for sport shooting - the manufacturer has completely redesigned the folding stock, the underbarrel mounting platform and even the grip.
The aluminium stock is now built in the PRS style (Precision Rifle Series) with a height adjustable cheekpiece and a height and length adjustable buttpad. It also includes two "QD Sling" holes for attaching a strap. Just like the original model, the stock can be folded by pressing a simple button and is secured in the collapsed position via a magnet.
The underbarrel mounting platform has undergone modifications as well. Thanks to its new squarish shape, it now incorporates an Arca-Swiss rail and plenty of M-LOK slots on the sides and from below.
Comfortable shooting in the prone position is ensured by the ergonomically shaped rubberized low-angle AR-15 grip from FAB Defense.
This time, consistent muzzle velocity is ensured by the reliable HUMA-AIR pressure regulator, which eliminates the drop in power as the cartridge pressure decreases. The cartridge can be filled with a classic filling pin (G1/8 thread) with a hose (G5/8 thread).
The highly accurate shrouded barrel features a 1/2UNFx20 thread at the muzzle for the installation of a sound moderator.
Also worth mentioning is the charging system, which boasts an incredibly soft and fluid motion. The charging lever is located just above the trigger, allowing for lightning fast reloads with just one finger and it can be easily swapped to the opposite side.
The safety is located right above the fully adjustable trigger. A riflescope can be mounted onto the 20 MOA canted 22mm Picatinny rail which allows easier scope adjustment for long range shooting.
