PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The brand-new and affordable PCP air rifle from the Spanish manufacturer Gamo is finally here. Arrow is a great choice for all shooters who want to try shooting with a PCP air rifle and save money at the same time. The price difference compared to other PCP models is really significant. You don’t have to worry though, because despite its low price it reaches the same level of quality we are used to from Gamo air rifles.

The name of this model is derived from the shape of the straight-pull cocking lever, which vaguely resembles an arrow. Thanks to its position, this cocking system is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed shooters. You simply press the lever slightly down, pull it back, and then return it to its original position. This original solution is very intuitive and allows for fast and effortless reloading.

Gamo Arrow will surprise you with its low weight, which does not exceed 2.3 kg. This weight was largely achieved thanks to the use of a lightweight, ergonomically shaped synthetic stock with an ambidextrous cheekpiece and a rubber butt pad for recoil absorption. The barrel is shrouded and its muzzle is fitted with a Whisper Fusion sound moderator.

The air cylinder with a volume of 125 cc is located under the barrel and you will find the pressure gauge on its front end. The maximum filling pressure is 232 Bar. The Quick-Fill valve is located on the underside of the fore-end. To fill the rifle, you need to purchase a quick coupler.

The rifle is equipped with fixed sights with fibre-optic inserts. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation. Of course, there is also an 11 mm dovetail rail for mounting a riflescope. The manual safety is located inside the trigger guard, just in front of the two-stage adjustable trigger.

+ nice workmanship, air rifle fits in the hand
+ adjustable trigger – I prefer a trigger with a short and easy action, which this air rifle 100% meets
+ front sight with red optical fiber, adjustable rear sights with green optical fiber allow comfortable and accurate aiming
+ very accurate shooting at a distance of 50m (with a 3–9/40 rifle scope)
+ fast and accurate reloading / approx. 40 full-power shots can be fired per one air tank fill (4 magazines of 10 pellets each)
+ high muzzle velocity, flat head pellets carve smooth circles in the target
– none yet

Cartusa can hold a smaller volume of air but as a starter PCP it is ideal, even with a pump it can be filled just fine.

  • precision air rifle straight out of the box
  • reversible charging
  • truglo musk
  • 11mm sheet for optics
  • dispenser included
  • smaller air cartouche

A very, very successful and accurate air rifle for this price. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the plastic mounting rail. Top rear sight and front sight

  • Very good price - performance ratio
  • Quite strong. Good to shoot with rear sight even at 20m
  • Very quiet and pleasant

Overall, Balistas the best prices and great team approach

  • Very light, powerful and precise...
  • less stable and inaccurate 11mm rail for mounting the rifle scope, but the price-to-product ratio is great

This is my first PCP air rifle, so I don’t have a direct comparison with more expensive models. Nevertheless, the Gamo Arrow pleasantly surprised me. It works best for me with JSB Exact 4.52 mm / 0.547 g pellets, with which I achieve excellent groupings. I mostly shoot up to 40 metres and for this purpose it’s ideal in my opinion. Air consumption is reasonable. For more convenience I got a 3L air bottle and a compressor.

I’ve equipped the rifle with an Umarex RS 3–9×40 scope and a metal bipod mounted using my own adapter, 3D-printed from ASA. The advantage is that fitting the adapter doesn’t require any interference with the rifle’s construction or any permanent modifications. Shooting from a solid rest is therefore even more comfortable and accurate. I recommend trying several types of ammo and choosing the one that suits the particular barrel best. In my case, JSB Exact 4.52 mm / 0.547 g worked best. If someone is looking for their first PCP air rifle with a very good price/performance ratio, I can recommend it.

  • Excellent value for money.
  • I’m very satisfied with my first PCP air rifle.
  • Very good accuracy with JSB Exact 4.52 mm / 0.547 g ammunition.
  • Low air consumption.
  • Pleasant and fast reloading lever.
  • Reliable, no defects.
  • For shooting up to about 40 m it's absolutely sufficient.
  • It doesn’t have a pressure regulator.
  • Different types of ammunition have a different point of impact, so I recommend using one proven type of ammo.
