The air rifle BSA Ultra CLX is based on its proven predecessor Ultra SE, from which it inherited the basic parameters, but thanks to its own improved design it moves the overall performance one level higher. The result of extensive design development is a reduction in the number of internal parts, which significantly increases reliability and makes maintenance easier. A novelty here is also the new Anti Double Load magazine system with a remaining pellet indicator.
The main advantage of this air rifle lies in its compact dimensions and low weight. Thanks to this, it is ideal for hunting from a hide or for dynamic shooting where high manoeuvrability is required.
The wooden stock is the result of cooperation with the Italian company Minelli, with the main aim of the development being to achieve maximum practicality and shooting comfort. With these requirements in mind, the stock is equipped with a rubber buttpad and a universal cheekpiece. Furthermore, in order to provide the shooter’s hands with a stable support, the grip areas – on the wrist and the fore-end – feature textured surfaces. As for practical elements, we will undoubtedly appreciate the presence of sling swivels, with the one located on the fore-end also being usable for a bipod.
The loading mechanism is operated by a rear cocking lever with ball handle, right next to which there is a manual safety. The cold hammer forged barrel has a length of 318 mm and is fitted with a muzzle brake. If necessary, this can be unscrewed and replaced with other accessories with a 1/2 UNF thread.
The maximum filling pressure of the air cylinder is 232 bar and one fill allows us to fire up to 72 shots with a muzzle energy of 23 J and a muzzle velocity of 211 m/s.
The fully adjustable trigger allows you to set the trigger travel length and the position of the trigger blade.
