The BSA Ultra CLX air rifle is based on its proven predecessor, the Ultra SE, from which it inherited its basic specs. It pushes the original concept even further thanks to its own improved concept. Extensive design development has resulted in a reduction in the number of internal parts, which significantly increases reliability and makes maintenance easier. Also new is the Anti-Double Load magazine system with a shot countdown indicator.
The advantage of this air rifle lies mainly in its compact size and low weight. This makes it ideal for hunting from concealed position or dynamic shooting where high manoeuvrability is required.
The wooden stock is the result of a collaboration with the Italian company Minelli, with the main goal of development being to achieve maximum practicality and comfort when shooting. With these requirements in mind, the stock is equipped with a rubber buttpad and a universal cheekpiece. Furthermore, in order to provide the shooter's hands with stable support, roughened surfaces were created on the pistol grip and forearm. As far as practical features are concerned, you will undoubtedly appreciate the presence of swing swivel studs. The stud on the forearm can aslo work as a mounting point for a bipod.
The cocking mechanism is controlled by a side lever with a ball handle, next to which is a mechanical safety. The cold hammer-forged barrel reaches a length of 318 mm and is finished with a muzzle brake. This can be unscrewed and replaced with other 1/2 UNF threaded accessories if required.
The maximum filling pressure of the cartridge is 232 bar and one filling allows us to fire up to 72 shots with a kinetic energy of 23 J and a muzzle velocity of 290 m/s.
The fully adjustable trigger allows adjustment of its travel and position.
