Sapsan, meaning Peregrine Falcon, is considered one of the fastest birds of prey. When hunting, it attacks at speeds over 320 km/h in a dive. It strikes its prey with a fast and precise blow. This amazing bird of prey is the perfect symbol for the latest PCP air rifle from the Ukrainian manufacturer Zbroia.
The semi-bullpup design has made it possible to maintain pleasant dimensions and balance even with a 550 mm long precision barrel. It has 12 grooves and comes directly from Zbroia’s own production. The barrel is also fitted with a 1/2 UNF thread for a moderator, which really deserves praise, as the shot is genuinely very quiet.
The air cylinder can hold a full 300 cm3 of air at a maximum working pressure of 300 bar. The manufacturer states that a full cylinder will provide a full 100 shots in .177 calibre and 60 shots in .22 calibre. Filling has been very nicely solved in terms of both design and function. You have to flip down the trigger guard, which is held in place by a magnet. Under it you will find the filling pin, and then you can simply connect the quick coupler. The comfortable leather cheekpiece, which is also held in place by a magnet, is designed just as elegantly.
The side lever is located on the right side, has a smooth and fluid action, and allows you to reload comfortably without taking your eyes off the target. A 22 mm Weaver rail with a length of 180 mm is provided for easy mounting of optics. The metal trigger is worth mentioning, offering adjustment of both trigger travel and pull weight.
The package includes two magazines; in 4.5 mm calibre the capacity is 12 pellets, in 5.5 mm calibre 10 pellets, and finally in 6.35 mm only 8 pellets. The manufacturer has prepared a small bonus and supplies a coin with each rifle, which you can use to compare your shooting achievements with other owners on social networks.
