As every year, we once again visited the world’s largest firearms trade show, ShotShow 2026, held in Las Vegas, USA. Join us as we take a look at the best and most interesting highlights this year had to offer – and there was plenty to see. Among the exhibits were new Czech air rifles from EPIC, the Chinese company SNOWPEAK also introduced powerful PCP rifles, Turkish manufacturer REXIMEX focused this time on modernising its existing models, Chiappa LTL brought several self-defence pistols to the market, and South Korean EVANIX finally unveiled the final version of its long-awaited PCP submachine-gun-style airgun.

Epic Airguns

The first highlight we saw at the show was a new Czech PCP air rifle called Epic Vision. Although it clearly builds on the proven EPIC TWO model in terms of external design, the internal layout has been completely redesigned and the overall construction has undergone several significant changes.
A new valve, a new hammer spring preload system, smarter gauge placement, a redesigned magazine, a quick-connect filling adapter, reduced weight, the option to install different stock types, and tumbled aluminium instead of black anodising – all of this makes the Vision one of the best air rifles we have seen here.

Snowpeak

The Chinese company Snowpeak / SPA certainly did not sit idle either. For this season, it prepared a CO₂ pistol firing rubber projectiles, suitable for both self-defence and recreational or training shooting, as well as an updated version of its high-performance PCP air rifle called MAX2. This model will be available either with a carbon-fibre air cylinder or with two parallel aluminium cylinders.

Reximex

This Turkish manufacturer focused mainly on updating its proven models this year – and that is certainly not a bad thing. The very interesting lever-action PCP repeater Lieva is now also available in an attractive silver finish, the RP PCP pistol series has been expanded with a sport-oriented RPA Race variant as well as the RP11, which aims to resemble the iconic Colt 1911 pistol.
New additions also include the Morpho CO₂ pistol, and the Meta PCP air rifles have received carbon-fibre cylinders and weight-reducing design elements.

Chiappa LTL

A major surprise was the booth of the Less Than Lethal brand, owned by Chiappa Firearms. LTL focuses on the production of self-defence pistols. New products include the LTL Canik, developed in cooperation between the two brands and notable for its realistic design, as well as the ultra-compact Delta model, which only loosely resembles a traditional pistol.
The manufacturer also introduced accessories such as a speed loader for all RAM pistols, a barrel extension that significantly increases muzzle energy, a pepper spray mounted under the barrel, and a carbine conversion kit compatible with all LTL pistols.

Evanix

South Korean manufacturer Evanix is known for producing innovative airguns. Their new flagship model is the Evanix MP30, which differs from traditional PCP air rifles in almost every way – it more closely resembles a submachine gun / SMG. A large magazine, two interconnected air cylinders, a high-quality aluminium construction with a folding or telescopic stock, and above all a semi-automatic firing mode make it a perfect airgun for fun and dynamic backyard shooting.

IWA 2026

Still not enough? Don’t worry. While Shot Show is already behind us, we are still looking forward to the IWA trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, which focuses on hunting and sport target shooting. And that is exactly where the biggest new airgun releases will be on display. So stay tuned – this year’s IWA takes place from February 26 to May 1, and we will definitely be there!

After finishing my career as a competitive shooter in 2011 (shooting a moving target at 10 m and smallbore shooting at 50 m), Mark and I founded zbrane-vzduchovky.cz. And I am still working on the project today. At the same time, I am glad that Balistas has been successful, where I am a co-owner and wholesale manager. I handle orders, suppliers, technical questions and repairs. Outside of work I spend time with my family, I like to play sports or read about transport aviation, which has my admiration.

As the owner, I've been with the company since the very beginning. And I'm proud of it. We have managed to start a dedicated e-shop with weapons with zbrane-vzduchovky.cz, production of our own optics with Valiant and now Balistas, which combines marksmanship and an active outdoor lifestyle. When I'm not tending to guns and work, I'm with my family or playing sports. My soft spot and passion is cars.
