Hatsan SpeedFire Vortex is a break‑barrel air rifle in calibre 5.5 mm. Unlike classic spring‑piston air rifles, it uses the Vortex system, i.e. a gas‑pressurised piston. This has made it possible to eliminate recoil and noise that would otherwise be caused by the spring. The air rifle also achieves a more stable performance.
The polymer stock with Monte Carlo cheek piece guarantees a comfortable grip. The stock is also finished with a rubber butt pad that helps to absorb recoil. A 370 mm rifled barrel is embedded in the polymer body, and at its end you will find an integrated sound moderator. In combination with the Vortex system, the rifle is therefore very quiet.
At the end of the barrel there is an elevated folding front sight, paired with an elevated rear sight. The sights are fiber‑optic, so you can shoot comfortably even in low‑light conditions. If you want to shoot with real precision, you can also mount a riflescope on the 11 mm and 22 mm elevated mounting rail.
The biggest advantage of this rifle is hidden under the rear sight. It is the automated 10‑shot magazine. You only need to load the magazine and break the air rifle to cock it and compress the piston. When the rifle is broken, the pellet is loaded directly into the barrel. You do not have to fumble around looking for a pellet.
Comfortable shooting is ensured by the Quattro Trigger trigger mechanism, which allows you to adjust the trigger pull weight and travel. Hatsan has also considered safety and fitted the rifle with an automatic safety, which you must disengage before each shot.
