PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Gamo Stronghold P7 is a CO₂ RAM pistol designed for firing rubber, marking and pepper projectiles in .50 calibre. The polymer-frame construction is heavily inspired by Colt 1911 pistols. The pistol uses the Quick Piercing system, which allows rapid activation of the inserted CO₂ cartridge using the control button. The P7 model is therefore designed as a compact training marker with an emphasis on simple and intuitive operation.

CO₂ power system and compatible ammunition

The pistol is powered by one 12g CO2 cartridge, which is inserted into the grip (Please note: unlike other RAM pistols, the cartridge in this model is inserted with the neck facing inward!). To activate it, simply lightly strike or press the valve with the palm of your hand, piercing the cartridge and making the pistol ready to fire.

Stronghold P7 is designed for firing rubber and pepper balls in .50 calibre, which are loaded into a cleverly concealed magazine beneath the barrel. From the right side of the pistol, simply secure the follower spring, insert the balls through the opening at the bottom and release the spring. The magazine has a capacity of 7 rounds. As with other RAM pistols, this model is not compatible with non-spherical projectiles - they may jam in the magazine and cause the pistol to malfunction.

NOTE: For proper magazine operation, we recommend applying silicone oil to the inner walls of the magazine well or directly onto the rubber projectiles. Using dry ammunition in an unlubricated magazine may cause the pistol to jam.

Controls and construction

The Stronghold P7 model is made with internal metal components, subsequently covered by a lightweight polymer body. The slide is fixed and features fixed sights. For optional installation of a laser or torch, there is a short Picatinny rail under the barrel, while the only safety is located directly in the trigger blade.

Maintenance

As the pistol is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seal may gradually become brittle and crack due to the freezing carbon dioxide. You can prevent this by occasionally applying silicone oil 1) in spray form, simply spraying the internal mechanism, 2) applying a few drops of silicone oil to the neck of the inserted cartridge, 3) using an lubricated cartridge (the easiest option). At the same time, we do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the pistol for longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
