New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers Gamo Hunter Maxxim is a break barrel air rifle using the IGT system instead of a classic spring. It is one of the nicest pieces from this Spanish manufacturer. In addition, it is supplied including a Gamo 4x32 riflescope with mount.
At first glance you will notice the beautiful wooden stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece and laser engraving on the grip and fore-end. This allows you to shoot perfectly even with wet hands. The stock is finished with a rubber butt pad that absorbs the remaining recoil.
The air rifle is equipped with Tru-Glo fibre optic sights with a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight. However, if you are going to shoot at longer distances, you will appreciate the 11 mm dovetail rail for mounting a riflescope. You can either use the Gamo riflescope included in the package, or purchase another one.
The rifle uses the IGT system, which replaces the classic spring. Compared to a spring, it provides more consistent performance and quieter shooting with reduced recoil. Sufficient accuracy is ensured by the latest generation Whisper Maxxim barrel with a length of 43 cm. Inside the trigger guard, in addition to the adjustable plastic trigger, there is also a manual safety, which ensures safe handling of the gun.

Magnificent rifle, the assembly seems perfect and the wood is of good quality.
It is extremely lightweight and does not require any particular strength to
cock, it will be well suited for the whole family. As always with Gamo the power
is lower than 24J, I get 20J with JSB 4.52mm in 0.547g. Despite the silencer,
it remains quite noisy compared to a Crosman Shockwave rifle which has the same
system.
