A unique air rifle AR22 with a revolver reloading system is based on its predecessor AR6. Compared to it, however, it has received a new stock, a larger carbon air cylinder and a pressure regulator.
The revolver reloading mechanism with a 6‑shot magazine allows shooting in two modes – Single Action (manually cocking the hammer before each shot) or Double Action (cocking the hammer by pulling the trigger). If necessary, the mechanism can be locked with a manual safety, thus preventing accidental discharge.
Accurate shooting is ensured by a rifled free‑floating barrel ending with a standard thread 1/2 UNF for an external sound moderator. For maximum noise suppression, the barrel is covered along its entire length with a shroud. Maximum shot consistency is achieved by using a pressure regulator, with the set value indicated by an analog manometer on the fore‑end.
The internal mechanism is powered by compressed air stored in a cylinder with a volume of 410 cc and a maximum pressure of 230 Bar. Filling is done via a standard filling quickfill adapter. The current pressure inside the cylinder is shown by an analog manometer located at the front.
The two‑stage adjustable trigger and the massive trigger guard are made of metal. A characteristic feature of this air rifle is the elegant stock with a thumb‑hole (Thumbhole), ambidextrous cheekpiece and a rubber buttpad. In the grip areas, the surface of the stock is finished with engraving, which further increases palm adhesion and thus ensures a stable hold when shooting.
Note: In the manufacturer’s manual you will find information that the maximum filling pressure is 200 bar, but on the manufacturer’s website a range of 80–230 bar is given. Evanix has confirmed this information to us, and it is therefore safe to fill Hunting Master series air rifles up to 230 bar.
