Its shape resembles a classic Winchester-style rifle in a black finish. Compared to classic Daisy air rifles, this model is equipped with a front sight with fibre optic insert and a height- and windage-adjustable rear sight.
The polymer on the stock and forearm is textured to ensure a secure grip. This rifle has a major advantage in that it uses two types of ammunition, namely steel BBs and pellets in 4.5 mm calibre. On the left side you will find the magazine cover, which holds up to 50 steel BBs. If you want to shoot pellets, you have to load them into the chamber one by one.
The shooting procedure is very simple. Just pull the cocking lever, engage the safety, pump the forearm, insert a pellet into the chamber and close the chamber. Then simply aim, disengage the safety and fire. For more precise shooting you can use the adjustable rear sight or the 11 mm mounting rail for scope attachment. Shooting with the Powerline 901 can also be quite dangerous. After ten pumps, the rifle fires a pellet with an energy of 10 J.
Even though the manufacturer states that children from 16 years of age can shoot with this gun, an adult should always be present. The adult must not only supervise shooting safety, but also pump the gun for younger or weaker children. Safety is also ensured by a manual safety located in the trigger guard area, which is easily accessible with the right index finger.
