With its medium wide angle of view, it is suitable for shorter distances, ideally up to 8 meters, covering as much area as possible. It is resistant to rain, snow and frost.
With the 4G model, you can reset the trap from your mobile phone, or turn it off and on or have a photo sent to you on request. You can have the entire SMS control function activated or completely disabled. However, it is good to keep in mind that activated SMS control significantly increases power consumption.
The Hotshot boasts a large 2.4" LCD display, where you can view all recordings at your leisure. The entire menu is in Czech, so everyone can find their way around.
The trap is powered by 8 classic pencil batteries, which are housed in a separate box and thus completely separated from the electronics. So there is no longer any risk of poor quality batteries leaking out and damaging the whole mechanism. Of course there is also the possibility of external charging. The connector is located at the bottom of the photo trap to prevent the ingress of moisture.
This product also features an amplified night light with a wavelength of 940 nm. This makes it impossible to tell that the photo trap has taken a picture of you even when looking directly at you in complete darkness. That's why this model is great for tracking game, but also for protecting property.
The quality of photos taken is 16 megapixels and videos are in Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels. Of course, a number of useful features such as a timer and time-lapse are also offered.
This model features an integrated extra-fast 4G GSM module and a powerful positioning antenna. If the photo trap detects motion, it immediately sends the captured photo to your email or mobile phone. The transmission is very fast and depending on the signal strength, the transmission takes about 1-3 minutes. The cost of sending photos is around 50 CZK per month for unlimited photos sent.
It also takes a short video, but it doesn't send it to your email or mobile phone, but saves it to your SD card. Cards up to 32GB are supported.
