The Black Bunker company could be seen at the IWA2023 show, where they, for the very first time, unveiled a revolutionary folding break-barrel air rifle.
However, the BM8 doesn't stop only there - it was designed for survival purposes in harsh environments. It begins with the utilization of the classic break-barrel cocking system, like we are used to with the old Slavia rifles for example. But instead of a conventional spring, it features an advanced gas RAM piston that delivers high power while minimizing the shock and recoil when fired.
The air rifle therefore requires no additional accessories such as expensive PCP compressors or a supply of disposable CO2 cartridges. Similarly, the manufacturer has refrained from utilizing a magazine system, such as those found in modern Gamo airguns, for the sake of maximum reliability. Last but not least, the airgun is plated with durable polymer almost everywhere, again aiming for simple maintenance and better protection of important components. The emphasis on survival purposes is therefore very apparent.
The airgun features fixed sights mounted on the barrel. In case you'd like to install a rifle scope, you can use the standard 22mm Weaver / Picatinny rail and if you wish to upgrade the air rifle with a laser, flashlight or a bipod, there are two more detachable rails on the sides of the forearm.
The BM8 model consists of 3 moving parts - classic break barrel, main block and folding stock. After releasing one rotary safety at the barrel and a second button safety above the stock, both parts can be released and then folded into a triangular shape. The underbarrel bar, which originally serves to compress the piston when the barrel is cocked, now functions as a safety in the folded state where it fits into a slot hidden in the stock.
The package also includes a practical waterproof case for small accessories or ammunition, which fits perfectly into the folded air rifle and a cap protecting the muzzle and ammo chamber from dirt.
We're always happy to see airgun manufacturers trying to come up with something new, original, innovative. And the BM8 air rifle is exactly that. The folding mechanism is ingeniously sophisticated, nothing rattles or wobbles anywhere, and the air rifle has a robust overall feel. It is simply a full-fledged (and powerful) break-barrel airgun with some extra upgrades.

in English. I don't have internet, I had to go to a friend's house to watch
the instructional video. I understood from the English instruction pamphlet
that the rifle needs to be oiled occasionally, but there is no mention of this
in the video. A Slovak/Czech manual would be useful.
