Czech company AirMaks Arms is becoming more and more well-known on the airgun market every day thanks to its continuously expanding range of premium high‑performance air rifles with a distinctive design.
This time they present another addition to the family of compact bullpups called Krait Tube 5.5mm. The designation “Tube” means that instead of a standard rounded kevlar air cylinder, the rifle is equipped with an elongated 200cc cylindrical air cylinder with a working pressure of up to 300 bar.
All other parts of the rifle remain unchanged, such as the full‑length shrouded barrel with a twist rate of 1/17, and at its end there is a standard 1/2x20 UNF thread for installing a sound moderator.
The Krait is equipped with two pressure gauges that show the pressure in the cylinder and in the externally adjustable pressure regulator. The icing on the cake is the Power Plenum with a capacity of 60cc.
Precise shooting is ensured by a fully adjustable two‑stage trigger, and right above it there is a manual safety, which can easily be moved to the other side, just like the side lever with an extremely smooth action.
A total of 4 Picatinny rails are provided for mounting accessories. The rail for scope mounting is inclined by 20 MOA for easier scope adjustment for long‑range shooting.
Comfortable shooting is supported by a solid metal stock with a height‑adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber buttplate that is adjustable in both height and length. There is also a standardised rubberised AR-15 type grip designed for right‑handed shooters, which can easily be replaced with another one.
