The Katran air rifle family has once again expanded with another model, which, as its SC (Sub-Compact) designation already suggests, is the smallest version.
The subcompact version retains all the main features of its predecessors, but its reduced design has its specifics. A major change concerns the barrel, which is now 230 mm long (twist rate 1/17.7) and the air cylinder, whose reduced volume is 100 cc.
For filling, there is a filling port (Quick-Fill) prepared at the front of the cylinder, and directly on the front of the cylinder there is a pressure gauge graduated up to 300 bar.
AR-15 type pistol grip is pleasant to the touch thanks to the softened polymer, and its ergonomic shape with finger grooves fits comfortably in the hand. The air rifle can be secured with a manual safety. The trigger is, as usual, fully adjustable by means of Allen screws. The sufficiently long top mounting rail Picatinny allows for shooting with optics. As an extra, the metal collar at the rear of the cylinder has slots on its surface for mounting systems from the AirMaks range.
The only drawback of the additional stock is that it is not folding, however the adjustment options are above standard. They include adjustment of the cheekpiece height and the buttpad position. A practical feature of the stock is the holder for two magazines, so you can always have them at hand.
The biathlon-style sidelever is located on the left side, but it can easily be switched to the right side.
