Reximex Daystar makes a solid impression at first glance, especially thanks to its durable synthetic stock. The great advantage of the stock is the possibility of adjusting the height of the cheekpiece and the presence of grips (on the forearm and at the end of the stock) for a bipod or strap. At the grip points, the stock is covered with a coarse texture that provides stable support for the palm of the hand, which is very practical when shooting for long periods of time. At the very end of the stock there is a rubber boot.
A direct pull tension lever is used for reloading. Moving the lever backwards will rotate the magazine and moving it forward will insert the firing pin into the chamber. The internal mechanism is driven by a 260 cc cartridge with a working pressure of 250 bar. For the 5.5 mm calibre, the magazine holds 12 pellets.
The blackened barrel is topped with a compensator that screws onto a 1/2 UNF thread, so it can be easily swapped for a noise moderator with the same thread. As this model is not equipped with fixed sights, it is necessary to purchase suitable optics, for which there is a combined 11 mm / 22 mm mounting rail.
The muzzle energy can be adjusted from 10 J to 45 J.
