The Bighorn air rifle is one of the most powerful air rifles in the offer of the well-known Turkish manufacturer Kral Arms. It is offered in four calibers, but the 9 mm caliber draws the most attention, which in full power reaches an impressive 191 J. In this model - the .22 caliber (5,5 mm) - we can enjoy shooting with a power of up to 50 J.
The Bighorn, like most Kral Arms airguns, is built on a quality solid Turkish walnut stock. The surface on the grip and the forearm is roughened to provide our palms with maximum stable support. The removable rubber buttpad moves along a groove in the vertical plane, allowing it to be perfectly adapted to our proportions. The same applies to the height-adjustable cheekpiece. A little further on, at the bottom of the forearm, there is a thread for mounting the bipod, or we can screw in the mounting rail that is included in the package together with the front grip, whose refined design allows it to be unfolded and changed into a bipod.
The trigger is adjustable in two stages. The trigger is secured with a manual safety located on the right side of the chamber block. A conventional lever with an extended handle is used for reloading. The noise of the shot is partially muffled by the jacket covering the barrel along its entire length, but at the same time the air rifle can be equipped with an external moderator, for which a 1/2 UNF thread is provided at the muzzle.
The filled cartridge with a capacity of 500 cc and a maximum working pressure of 250 bar is capable of firing up to 60 full shots. A female 1/8 BSP quick coupler is used for filling. Each air rifle is supplied with two magazines for twelve 5.5 mm calibre pellets.
