This time, it introduces an air rifle fit for a king, named FX King. More precisely, it is an FX Dynamic in a new guise, with an elegantly shaped laminate stock.
The stunning stock, made from several dozen layers of birch wood, comes from Norwegian manufacturer GRS. Compared with the standard Dynamic model, the King model's stock features a height-adjustable cheekpiece and a length-adjustable butt pad with exceptionally soft rubber. Quick and easy adjustment is provided by the SpeedLock system, which requires no additional tools. Due to the overall shape of the stock and grip, the air rifle is suitable only for right-handed shooters.
The second difference is the positioning of the 480cm³ carbon fibre bottle beneath the barrel and the resulting absence of a long mounting platform. The bottle is filled through a conventional Foster quick-fill valve with a protective cover.
All other components and specifications remain unchanged. Particularly noteworthy is the core of the air rifle – the Dynamic Block with a balanced valve that delivers a precisely metered amount of air, providing high power with minimal variation while also ensuring a high shot count per fill. It also accommodates projectiles up to 13 mm long.
The air rifle achieves unrivalled accuracy thanks to its precision-made Superior STX series barrel. The rifling is pressed in from the outside, leaving the internal surface perfectly smooth and minimising friction as the projectile travels through the barrel. The barrel is surrounded by a shroud that serves three functions. Firstly, it stiffens the barrel; secondly, it acts as an integrated sound moderator; and finally, it serves as a Macro Plenum with a volume of 62 cm³. At the muzzle, there is a 1/2 UNF thread for fitting an external moderator.
The rotary controls (Quick Tune System) on the left-hand side allow adjustment of the hammer spring preload and, consequently, the muzzle velocity. Naturally, it also features an externally adjustable AMP MkII regulator and two pressure gauges from the proven manufacturer WIKA on the left-hand side, angled rearwards for easy reading even while shooting. The fully adjustable match trigger with its exceptionally smooth action hardly needs mentioning.
A standardised Picatinny rail with a 9 MIL / 30 MOA incline is provided for mounting a rifle scope, making long-range shooting easier. Two additional Picatinny rails are positioned on either side of the barrel for attaching other accessories.
