The Katran air rifle family has once again expanded with another model, which already with its SC (Sub-Compact) designation reveals that we are dealing with the smallest version.
The sub-compact version retains all the main features of its predecessors, but its reduced design has its specifics. The barrel has undergone a major change and now has a length of 230 mm (twist rate 1/17.7) and the cylinder, whose reduced volume is 100 cc.
For filling, a filling port (Quick-Fill) is prepared in the front part of the cylinder, and directly on the front of the cylinder there is a pressure gauge scaled up to 300 bar.
AR-15 style pistol grip is pleasant to the touch thanks to the softened polymer, and its ergonomic shape with finger grooves fits nicely in the hand. The air rifle can be secured with a manual safety. The trigger is fully adjustable in the usual way using Allen screws. The sufficiently long top Picatinny rail takes into account the option of shooting with optics. To top it off, the metal collar at the rear of the cylinder has slots on its surface for mounting systems from the AirMaks range.
The only drawback of the additional stock is that it is not folding, however the adjustment options are above standard. They include adjustment of the cheekpiece height and the buttpad position. A practical feature of the stock is the holder for two magazines, so you can always have them at hand.
The biathlon-style sidelever is located on the left side, but it can easily be swapped to the right side.
