The German manufacturer Weihrauch started production back in 1899 and ranks among the absolute top in its field. Their air rifles are used in sporting disciplines such as Filed Target and others. With these spring-powered rifles you can achieve the same results at a distance of 50 metres as with much more expensive PCP models.
Weihrauch HW 97 is the flagship model of this manufacturer. The fixed barrel with underlever ensures long‑lasting accuracy. After cocking the underlever, the chamber opens so you can load a pellet into the barrel. The safety is automatic, so it has to be disengaged before every shot. It is located at the rear of the action. The stock is universal, therefore suitable for both right‑handed and left‑handed shooters. The wooden stock has decorative chequering on the grip and fore‑end. At the end of the stock there is a rubber butt pad that absorbs recoil.
The top series is supplied without open sights, so the air rifle must be fitted with a riflescope. For this purpose, there is an 11mm dovetail on the action.
The main advantage is the Rekord match trigger, which can be adjusted extremely well.
Our experience: For us, definitely one of the best air rifles in the spring‑powered category. The accuracy at 50 metres is astonishing.
