The German manufacturer Weihrauch started production already in 1899 and ranks among the absolute top in its field. Their air rifles are used for sporting disciplines such as Field Target and others. With these spring-powered air rifles you can achieve the same results at a distance of 50 metres as with much more expensive PCP models.
Weihrauch HW 97 KT is the key model of this manufacturer. The fixed barrel with underlever cocking ensures long‑lasting accuracy. After breaking the underlever, the chamber opens for inserting a pellet into the barrel. The safety is automatic, so you have to disengage it before every shot. It is located at the rear of the action. The stock is universal and therefore suitable for both right‑handed and left‑handed shooters. The wooden thumbhole stock offers an excellent grip. In addition, it has decorative checkering on the grip and forearm. At the end of the stock there is a rubber buttpad that dampens recoil.
The top series is supplied without sights, so the air rifle must be fitted with a scope. For this, the 11mm dovetail on the action is used.
The main advantage is the Rekord match trigger, which can be adjusted exceptionally well.
Our experience: For us, definitely one of the best air rifles in the spring‑powered category. The accuracy at 50 metres is astonishing.
