The German manufacturer Weihrauch started production back in 1899 and ranks among the absolute top in its field. Their air rifles are used for shooting sports such as Field Target and others. With these spring-powered rifles you can achieve the same results at a distance of 50 metres as with much more expensive PCP models.
Weihrauch HW 97 is the key model from this manufacturer. The fixed barrel with underlever cocking ensures long-lasting accuracy. After you pull down the underlever, the chamber opens so you can insert a pellet into the barrel. The safety is automatic, so you have to disengage it before every shot. It is located at the rear of the action. The stock is universal, and therefore suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The Black Line model, as the name suggests, is fitted with a black polymer stock. The stock is in thumbhole design and offers a very good grip. The barrel and action feature a chrome finish. This finish is very durable and does not get scratched. At the end of the stock there is a rubber butt pad that absorbs recoil.
The top range is supplied without open sights, so the air rifle must be fitted with a riflescope. For this purpose, there is an 11mm dovetail on the action.
The main advantage is the Rekord match trigger, which is really excellent to adjust.
Our experience: For us, definitely one of the best air rifles in the spring-powered category. The accuracy at 50 metres is astonishing.
