Collimators are used to replace the classic sight and reticle. They are used for fast tactical shooting. Aiming is by means of a point of light which, unlike a laser, is not projected onto the target. Only you see it in the sight. It is mainly used on pistols and tactical rifles. They are divided into open and closed. Open collimators offer a larger field of view and faster aiming. Closed collimators are suitable for larger calibers and guns with more recoil.
Walther PS 55 PointSight is an all-metal closed collimator with a 22mm weaver rail mount. Thanks to its solid construction, it can be used on thicker guns.
