The second generation of the successful Zephyr riflescope from the Czech company
Valiant is finally here and offers a whole range of modern features we are used
to seeing on much more expensive models. The most notable include improved and
redesigned turrets with a Zero-Stop function. More Info
Rifle scopes Zephyr from the Czech company VALIANT have always been characterized by high durability, quality workmanship and, last but not least, a friendly price. Now the second generation of these scopes is coming to the market. Zephyr II offers everything that made its predecessor so successful, and something more on top.
The most distinctive features include redesigned and improved turrets with Zero-Stop function. This mechanism allows you to store the set turret position for an easy and quick return. The turrets are large enough and clearly separate individual clicks, so you can use them while wearing gloves. The clicking itself is very pronounced – you can not only feel every click with your fingers, but also clearly hear it.
The Valiant ZephyrII rifle scopes have undergone demanding tests to withstand the toughest conditions. The reinforced 30mmtube is made from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and is nitrogen-filled. Thanks to this it has high mechanical resistance and does not fog up. The lenses are coated with a multi-layer anti-reflective protection, which guarantees a clear and bright image even in poor light conditions. The eyepiece of the scope offers optical correction of -2.8/+2.8 dioptres. The etched glass reticle is extremely resistantto recoil corresponding to calibre .375 H&H, i.e. over 6000 J.
This model uses a new and improved version of the FBR reticle, which is an ideal choice for long-range shooting. The reticle is located in the second focal plane, so it remains the same size when zooming. It can be illuminated in red with 11 intensity levels. Thanks to the wide intensity adjustment range and illumination of the reticle centre only, there is no risk of unpleasant glare.
The adjustment step is 1/4 MOA. On this model, the parallax control is located on the side of the scope. The VALIANT brand has worked to keep the parallax error as low as possible, which shooters will certainly appreciate. Parallax is adjustable from 10 yards (9.14 m) to infinity.
Thanks to innovative design features, Valiant Zephyr II has a 30% larger field of view. Image sharpness and colour fidelity have also been increased. The special design additionally eliminates the so-called “tunnel effect” when looking through the scope (with the correct eye position the image completely loses black edges). For comfortable handling, you will also find a large parallax wheel included in the package. The sunshade can be mounted for shooting in bright sun or on snow. The package of course also includes lens caps and a cloth for cleaning the optics.

Practicality, functionality, durability for 308, quality and ingenuity of
workmanship including the price encourages…
-Although until now I was not familiar with the brand and this product…It was
worth it…I recommend the purchase!!!
Nice clarity, good durability, extra flips and parallax adjustment wheel = good price to quality and equipment
Perfect, you can adjust everything precisely with a certain detent. In my opinion it’s suitable for shooting at both 50 and 100 m. For longer distances I’d recommend higher magnification.
Super optics
I'm adding some observations from mounting on Crossman Vantage air rifle.
1) The optic is much longer than the original (supplied with the air rifle), so
the adjustable sight must be removed. The scope cap will hang up
2) due to the increased length, the sun visor screwed into the optic cannot be
used either (moving it all the way back is not an option due to optimal shooter
eye relief)…cannot break the barrel and reload.
3) Even if a long Venox mount (11/30) is used and there is a gap of some
millimeters between the barrel and the tube, the supplied lens cap cannot be
fitted without modification. The wall thickness is a bit too much.
Therefore, mount without the lens cap fully fitted !
