Extreme situations call for extreme solutions. That’s where the Umarex T4E HDX 68 pump action shotgun comes in. It consists of a metal alloy frame which is covered by a durable polymer layer. The robust metal chamber and the massive muzzle brake give this model a weight of more than 3 kg but it is still well-balanced and offers great ergonomic properties.
This shotgun is powered by two 12g CO2 cartridges which must be inserted into the buttstock. All you need to do is to lightly hit the buttplate. This system will allow you to keep the cartridges in the gun for a long time and only pierce them when the need arises. This means you don’t have to worry about damaging the seals. The loaded chamber indicator will let you know that the gun is ready to shoot. All of this makes this RAM shotgun a perfect self-defense tool that won’t let you down in a critical situation.
Umarex T4E HDX 68 is designed to shoot .68 caliber (17,3 mm) rubber or pepper projectiles. The muzzle energy reaches 16 J. The barrel has a length of 366 mm and offers surprising amounts of accuracy. It might not be the best choice for precise target shooting but it is more than adequate for plinking. The internal tubular magazine has a capacity of 16 rounds. The two CO2 cartridges should last you for about 20 shots.
The trigger mechanism functions in the Single Action mode. The trigger is simply amazing. The manual safety is located behind the trigger and is easily reachable.
The see-thru rear sight is adjustable for both windage and elevation.The fiber optic front sight post is clearly visible. The elongated 22 mm Weaver rail on the top of the shotgun allows for an easy attachment of a red dot sight. Another mounting rail is located on the forearm, which is a great place for an additional laser sight or a tactical flashlight.
The T4E guns (Training for Engagement) from German manufacturer Umarex are effective self-defense tools used by a number of armed forces for training. They are also perfect for target practice and plinking.
