Umarex RP5 has a robust construction, a weight exceeding 1 kg and an overall length of 437 mm. For accurate shooting it is equipped with fixed sights, the rear sight is adjustable. For mounting a riflescope or red dot sight there is also an 11mm mounting rail on the frame. The muzzle is equipped with a 1/2 UNF thread, onto which a sound moderator can be mounted.
Power is provided by two 12 g CO2 cartridges, thanks to which it reaches a muzzle velocity of up to 175 m/s. The cartridges are inserted into the housing under the barrel.
The design of the sliding 5-shot pellet magazine is interesting. Loading is solved similarly to a shotgun and is carried out by sliding the fore-end back and forth. A manual safety against unintentional discharge is of course included.
