When you look at the workmanship of the individual parts, for example the trigger mechanism, you will see the high level of their execution. In this respect it surpasses much more expensive air rifles. The package includes two magazines, a single-shot tray adapter and a quickfill adapter.
You will find the two main innovations of this rifle in the area of reloading. The first is the fact that it is impossible to load a pellet twice, and therefore accidental barrel blockage cannot occur. The second feature concerns the barrel area and the air port, which has been designed so that the pellet is not deformed.
The Standard version has an overall length of 705 mm and is the best-selling type of the Taipan brand. This length represents an ideal ratio between still good handling and the size of the air cylinder. The total weight of the rifle is only 3350 g.
For mounting a scope you will use a 22 mm weaver rail, which is located in the centre of the rifle and is inclined by 20 MOA. The barrel is finished with a high-quality moderator, which is connected to the barrel with a 1/2 UNF thread. Under the barrel itself there is a high-capacity air container. This cylinder runs almost the entire length of the rifle and is finished with a Wika pressure gauge. The cylinder volume is 291 cm3.
The current pressure during filling is indicated by numbers in BAR. In the front section there is an opening for the quickfill adapter. Cocking is done using a side lever mechanism, which is very precise and easy to operate. The cocking lever can be swapped to the other side, which is especially appreciated by left-handed shooters.
The manufacturers have really done a quality job on the trigger mechanism, thanks to which we can adjust the trigger pull and trigger position. In front of the trigger there is a manual safety.
Air rifles Taipan are assembled and finished in the Czech Republic. The beautiful laminate stocks come from Italian production.
