It uses a Luminus SST-40 LED as its light source. You can choose from a total of five light modes (1600 lm, 500 lm, 150 lm, 30 lm and 1600 lm strobe). When using the lowest wattage, the runtime can climb up to 80 hours.
The power supply is provided by a Li-ion battery 21700 or a Li-ion battery 18650, with which you need to use the supplied reducer. However, batteries are not included and must be purchased. There are also a number of safety features such as protection against incorrect battery insertion, overheating and over-discharging the battery.
Made from aerospace-grade hardened aluminum, the Tubus can withstand drops from up to 1 m. The flashlight is waterproof and dustproof according to IP68 standard (tested at a depth of 2 m). The head is fitted with a striking rim to increase overall durability and can be used for close combat in an emergency.
