Reflex sights are used to replace traditional rear and front sights. They are used for fast tactical shooting. Aiming is done using an illuminated dot which, unlike a laser, is not projected onto the target. You can see it only through the sight. They are mainly used on pistols and tactical rifles. They are divided into open and closed types. Open reflex sights offer a larger field of view and faster target acquisition. Closed reflex sights are suitable for larger calibres and firearms with heavier recoil.
