The Czech manufacturer Kalibrgun presented the new Capybara model at the IWA 2017 exhibition. It immediately became the most sought-after new product on the PCP airgun market. After two years of work and final adjustments to make everything function precisely, it is finally on sale.
The Capybara model stands out with several innovations. The biggest one is certainly the new noise moderator system, which wraps around the entire barrel and has a rectangular shape. The barrel length is 480 mm. A major advantage is also the wooden cheekpiece, which is already included with the air rifle. The model visually resembles the older Colibri PCP, which was very successful. In addition, there is a wooden fore-end on the air cylinder, which can be adjusted. The air cylinder has a capacity of 200 cc of air.
Another new feature is the cocking indicator, which shows whether the air rifle is cocked. It is located on the rear part of the action. In the rear part of the stock there is also an opening for the magazine, which has a new design and is not preloaded with a spring. You can therefore load pellets in any order.
The side lever is located on the left side of the action and operates smoothly. The manual safety is placed on the right side just above the trigger.
In the future, it will be possible to purchase a special kit that will convert this air rifle into semi-automatic mode. You will therefore not have to reload after each shot.
